I can't believe he says this sort of thing with a straight face!

Mr. McCain exhibited (as the press usually does) a complete lack of consciousness of the fact that evidence of warming is not evidence of what causes warming. Yet policy must be a matter of costs and benefits, adjusted for the uncertainties involved. Which brings us to today's irony: He who finds a six-figure earmark an affront to humanity is prepared to wave through a trillion-dollar climate bill without, as far as anyone can tell, a single systematic thought about costs and benefits.

As is noted in the article, you can believe that the Earth is warmer without believing that it is man's fault. Mars has recently had warmer temperatures for goodness sake! Is man's impact on the world so great that we have had an effect on Mars too? Get over your selves already!

Between this and things like his recent comments related to immunizations, he is in serious jeopardy of drifting into the "community based reality".
