The Supreme Court has ruled that words don't mean what you think they mean

Who knew that so many of us were so wrong! When we read the wording of the ACA and when we read and listened to one of its chief architects (Gruber), we were all "lead" to believe that insurance subsidies were only available to citizens of states that setup their own health exchanges. The IRS decided that that was an issues as 36 states told the Feds to stick the ACA where the sun don't shine, and so decided to give the subsidies to everyone eligible (and quite a few who were not) regardless of if they got insurance from a state exchange or a federal one.

That resulted in a court case to in affect force the IRS to obey the law "as written". Well the Supreme Court (the same one that decided the ACA requirement to purchase health insurance is really a tax and not a product purchase) has decided that those words as written did not really mean what they said. They meant the opposite.

Does this mean that we will not need to send all dictionary proofs through the court so that they can affirm what the definitions of all words are?

To what use is law if the words they are written with are as shiftly as sand?

But we were told Gruber hardly played any roll in Obamacare...

The emails show frequent consultations between Mr. Gruber and top Obama administration staffers and advisers in the White House and the Department of Health and Human Services on the Affordable Care Act. They show he informed HHS about interviews with reporters and discussions with lawmakers, and he consulted with HHS about how to publicly describe his role.

The administration has sought to distance itself from the economist in the wake of his controversial statements in a 2013 video, where he said the health law passed because of the “huge political advantage” of the legislation’s lacking transparency. He also referred to the “stupidity of the American voter.”

I thought the administration and the MSM all said that he only played a "minor" roll and was simply "one of many advisors" that the consulted?!? What? They lied to us? No! Can't be!

“His proximity to HHS and the White House was a whole lot tighter than they admitted,” said Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R., Utah), chairman of the House oversight committee. “There’s no doubt he was a much more integral part of this than they’ve said. He put up this facade he was an arm’s length away. It was a farce.”

But we were told he was just somebody else involved, one of many.

“Thank you for being an integral part of getting us to this historic moment,” according to Sept. 9, 2009 email to Mr. Gruber from Jeanne Lambrew, a top Obama administration health adviser who worked at HHS and the White House. In a November 2009 email, she called Mr. Gruber “our hero.”

I guess Gruber and the MSM share the same opinion of the majority of Americans, that they are stupid. A number of us saw through this at the time but were mocked for "our" ignorance. Well look who the real rubes are, the Dems that supported this travesty that continues to hurt people and businesses even now as more and more of the reality of Obamacare is realized.

Great news in Puerto Rico on 2A!

As of now, according to Sandra Barreras with Ladies of the Second Amendment (LSA), the group that brought the lawsuit, “there is no regulation to purchase or carry (and) all purchases will be handled in accordance with federal firearms regulations.” LSA is affiliated with SAF through the International Association for the Protection of Civilian Arms Rights (IAPCAR).

Until now it was extremely difficult to get government permission to own a firearm and virtually impossible to get a concealed carry permit. There were even limits on how much ammunition you could purchase or have in your possession at any one time.
