Trump is SOOOO stupid! Look how STUPID Trump is!

This is just getting so friggen tiring AND boring. Every figgen time there is a republican in the White House the media eventually gets around to how friggen STUPID the President is. How he is so backward and doesn't understand technology. Such a dumb hick.

They did this with Bush when they went on and on about how he didn't know how a grocery checkout scanner worked, which was a lie of course but who [that REALLY matters] cares, right? It made a GREAT story.

Well we have a republican in the White House again and so it is time to drag out the "look how stupid he is" meme. The latest example is Slate with their "Two Years Into His Presidency and Donald Trump Still Doesn't Use Computers" story.

What an OUTSTANDING, fact based, hard hitting exposé,

There are just a few problems though, for any sane person that is.

#1, this photo that they used in the story:
what pray tell is that off to the side there? Not a coffee machine, not a basketball... Why it is a laptop computer! Sure it could be a prop but why bother?

#2, Though one can not be sure where Trump does it, he does tweet a LOT. He is doing that on some device. It might not be a desktop or laptop computer but it must be at the very least a tablet/iPad or a "smart-phone". Most people understand that a modern smart phone is a computer.

#3, Trump often tweets about what he sees/hears/reads on the news, on YouTube, and on Google. He accesses those "feeds" somehow...

Now to be fair, we are given some supporting evidence for the story's suposition:

1#, We have a tweet by a White House reporter:
Well, it is hard to argue with a NYT reporter on what the President is or is not capable of as they follow him around 24/7 right? And the NYT has absolutely NO reason in the world to make up something negative about the President, right?

#2, We are presented with another tweet from another reporter, this one ABC:

ABC News reporter Tara Palmeri, who also covers the White House, further explained that Trump sometimes reads on an iPad, which he refers to as “the flat one.”

Again, there is ABSOLUTELY no reason to suspect a ABC reporter for texting out something negative about this President, is there?

We are also treated to this insightful passage:

But more critically, this once again raises the question of whether the president of the United States knows how to use a laptop, and the answer seems to be “nope.” This is hardly the first time Trump’s tech habits, or lack thereof, have been talked about. As recently as 2016, it was reported that Trump rarely uses a computer: He preferred to read paper newspapers and magazines and to have emails printed out for him. He has Barron for the cyber, remember?

Based on this mountain of evidence this from Slate, you would have thought that Trump had replied to a question about a deleted/wiped server with "What, you mean with a cloth?" (nice Clinton dig, right?)

Look, maybe Trump uses a computer, maybe he does not. According to Forbes, at the start of 2017 Trump was worth $3.1 billion (with a B). The guy might just know a thing or two about how a business is run. He may have had a little bit of experience dealing with Government (at many levels), and may just understand the impact that Government, regulations, and taxes can have on business and the economy. With all that, do you honestly care if he knows how to install a Win10 service pack?

When will the madness end?!?

Have you heard? Do you know what that SOB has done now? No? It was all over the news, you sure you haven't read about it? You know what I am talking about, right? The latest Trump HUGE scandal of course! At a recent dinner at the White House, when dessert was served (ice cream), the President was given two (that right TWO) scoops of ice cream while everyone else had to settle for just one! If that isn't an impeachable offense, why do we even have the to impeach Presidents, amiright?

As an aside, this is like reason 2,538 that no one (well about half the country anyway) is listening to the media, Democrats, liberals, antafa, etc. (but I mostly repeat myself) any more on anything Trump. These screaming crybullies are making Trump's pre-election comment about shooting someone in the street and his fans not caring true because if that ever does happen, a very many people will think it is just more made up media junk.

Lets see, what we have on the scandal board:

  • icecreamgate - two, only two scoops for you.
  • Comeygate - you do understand he serves at the pleasure of the President who can fire him at any time for any reason, right? The left hated him when he started the Hillary email probe. loved him when he said he didn't think she should be prosecuted (overstep much?), and hated him again when he was forced to re-open the investigation. Wanted him fired until he actually was and now he is up for sainthood again.
  • Wikileaksgate - oh, wait, that was DNC staffer Seth Rich who was suspiciously killed (like lots of folks around the Clintons who are inconvenient).
  • RussaElectiongate - oh, wait, that was John Podesta falling for an email scam that 12 year old girls know to avoid.
  • Flynngate - you remember, the guy Trump fired (cause he serves at the pleasure of the President) cause he lied (maybe) to the VP about a Russia conversation he had that was no big deal but he has "suspicious" Russia ties but was granted security clearance by the FBI but squirrel!
  • ObamaWireTapgate - Trump lied about being wiretapped cause you know they didn't actually tap the phone wires cause they don't actually do it that way anymore and for months before Trump sent his tweet, the press was full of "leaked" information from Government taps but as soon as Trump sent his tweet all that went down the memory hole and Trump was deranged for suggesting he was tapped except they have those pesky FISA warrants (first one turned down and second one approved) but SURE, no tapping going on round here...
  • RussiaReportgate - remember the "super secret Russian dossier" on Trump that included PROOF he urinated on a bed that Obama slept in? I got some authentic Air Guard memos for you too if you still believe that one.
  • IvankaTrumpgate - whereas the White House was promoting "PROMOTING" Ivanka's clothing line that until it was mentioned in her White House bio, NO ONE on the entire PLANET knew she had.
  • TrumpClimategate - this was the one where the new administration "removed all traces" of the Obama administrations climate pages from the official White House web site GET THIS like every other policy page and every other administration does to the web site when it takes over and all of the old content was moved to a backup web site that is still publicly accessible, THOSE FENDS!
And those are just the TIP of the iceberg! With the media keeping the TDS meter on eleventy, 24/7 and the antifa(1) brownshirts rioting in the streets over every "fake news" report most sane folks are just tuning it all out.

The sad part of all of this is that there are a LOT of people (like a majority) that are NOT fans of Trump. Many of us voted for him because there was no other option (Hillary, really? That was the best you could do?). This 24/7 all the time temper tantrum that all those listed earlier are throwing is NOT changing any hearts or minds. As someone more famous than I has said "You want more Trump? This is how you get more Trump." Keep this up, you are just making it more likely "Trump for 8" instead of "Trump for 4".

It is also only a matter of time before "normal America" gets tired of "just keeping on keeping on" and start to engage and push back. You can only disrupt our lives (blocking traffic, burning down businesses, beating up old men, pepper spraying ladies) for so long and you will get push back "good and hard" and all of those "deplorables" have better training, weapons, skills, and resources than you do. They are the ones that (by large percentages) hunt, camp, join the military, shoot, etc. You want to resist and you want a revolution? Just be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

(1) Now that is something right out of 1984 if ever there was! These "antifa" folks all dress in black, cover their faces, riot, loot, burn stuff, and beat up anyone that even hints that they are going to exercise their free speech rights by saying anything remotely in support of Trump or even just "wishy washy" on hard left dogma but sure, Trump supporters are the fascists. That word does not mean what you think it means.

Glory days

These last few weeks, it has been all the rage for different groups to pen their own "open letter" to President-Elect Trump. These letters either warn him that they will work to resist his efforts or to "ask" that he not do such-n-such, or as in this case to warn that "they are watching" and are going to hold him to account. "This case" is an open letter from a member of the press. That is right. The press. You can read it (if you wish) here. I will warn you though, don't read it while you have any beverages in your hand. I nearly ruined a perfectly good iPad.

It is, after all, our airtime and column inches that you are seeking to influence. We, not you, decide how best to serve our readers, listeners, and viewers.

Well, it is not clear yet whether Trump seeks to influence you or simply chooses to ignore you. He may just be posturing but from my vantage point it looks to be a lot more of the latter than the former. Oh, and apparently he understands and knows how to use Twitter and is fairly comfortable doing so. The press has not been the information gatekeepers that they used to be for some time now. Trump appears to understand that better than most politicians.

As to deciding how to best server your readers, you really should have had that internal discussion some [oh] 8 years ago, not just over the last couple of months.

Access is preferable, but not critical. You may decide that giving reporters access to your administration has no upside. We think that would be a mistake on your part, [ed. I am sure you do] but again, it’s your choice. We are very good at finding alternative ways to get information; indeed, some of the best reporting during the campaign came from news organizations that were banned from your rallies. Telling reporters that they won’t get access to something isn’t what we’d prefer, but it’s a challenge we relish.

"a challenge we relish", really? Based on recent history that does not match reality. You (as an industry) clearly prefer NOT working for your stories as you have amply demonstrated over the last 8 years. During the current administration you have shown that you are all too happy [as a group] to accept administration and DNC memos and releases as "news" and publish them unquestioned. You (as a group) prefer coordinating your stories and crowd-sourcing your stories (journolist anyone?) than actually doing your own investigations and following the truth no matter where it leads. When it suits your purpose or your narrative, you are more than happy to just "make shit up", "white Hispanic" anyone?

We will strive to get your point of view across, even if you seek to shut us out...

LOL! Sorry there is just nothing else I could possibly say about this statement. It stands on its own.

We believe there is an objective truth, and we will hold you to that. When you or your surrogates say or tweet something that is demonstrably wrong, we will say so, repeatedly. Facts are what we do, and we have no obligation to repeat false assertions; the fact that you or someone on your team said them is newsworthy, but so is the fact that they don’t stand up to scrutiny. Both aspects should receive equal weight.

This one is another side-splitter! Sorry but this sort of blatant lying screams to be called out. At one time, the "press" may have believed that but the MSM long ago sold their souls to "the greater truth" and to "the narrative". Remember the Bush memos? How about your failure to properly cover the ACORN scandal? Your reporting over the last 8 years of the real unemployment rate or the economy? Planned Parenthood and baby parts? Your "stellar" [snark] coverage of the Clinton email scandal? Benghazi? Fast n Furious? The IRS scandal? The Tea Party? Need I go on? The modern MSM would not know a "FACT" if it walked up, introduced its self, and bought you all a round of drinks!

We’ll obsess over the details of government. You and your staff sit in the White House, but the American government is a sprawling thing. We will fan reporters out across the government, embed them in your agencies, source up those bureaucrats. The result will be that while you may seek to control what comes out of the West Wing, we’ll have the upper hand in covering how your policies are carried out.

So NOW you want to do that? Where were you when "Obamacare" or the drone strikes or EPA or oh never mind, I think you get the point...

We will set higher standards for ourselves than ever before. We credit you with highlighting serious and widespread distrust in the media across the political spectrum. Your campaign tapped into that, and it was a bracing wake-up call for us. We have to regain that trust. And we’ll do it through accurate, fearless reporting, by acknowledging our errors and abiding by the most stringent ethical standards we set for ourselves.

Wait, are you saying that you plan to fire every existing reporter and editor that currently works in MSM and start over? If not than nothing has or will change. With your current "membership" it will be at least a generation before you have any credibility with the majority of the people. Is it any wonder that the most despised professions in the country are (worst first) reporters, politicians, and lawyers? You have spent much more than 8 years (more like at least 20) working to destroy your reputations, publications, viewership, and industry. Well congratulations, you succeeded. All the moral posturing and preening will not undo over 20 years of effort. You just don't matter that much any more.

We’re going to work together. You have tried to divide us and use reporters’ deep competitive streaks to cause family fights. Those days are ending. We now recognize that the challenge of covering you requires that we cooperate and help one another whenever possible.

Sorry but we have already seen that in action; journolist anyone?

The modern press is like a pride of old, tired lions plotting against those "shinny things that go by real fast" on the highway they can see from their cage in the zoo. The cars don't even know they are there.

This is a truly sad state of affairs. The country needs and the people deserve a strong independent press. We don't and haven't had that in a very long time. What we do have is a clique of Democratic operatives with by-lines that when they are not directly taking their orders from a Democrat administration or the DNC, are colluding on what stories should be ignored, which ones should be covered and how to cover them. That is not "news". That is Pravda.

You want respect? You want to be taken seriously again? Stop trying to "change the world". Stop trying "to make a difference" and start actually covering the news, all of it, in an honest, open, factual, bias-free way. Then, just maybe you will start to matter again but I really don't believe you can do it.

Splendiferous Joe Biden

According to the morning news, we should all be so fantastically grateful to the splendiferous [slow] Joe Biden! According to the teaser, we should most definitely, absolutely tune in tonight to learn of all the wondrous things [slow] Joe has done in the short time that "solving" cancer has been his life's calling! Since President Three-putt put Joe on the case, magnificent things have happened "all because of Joe"!

Who would that thought that not a thing of significance has been happening for the last 3 or 4 decades in the field of cancer research. It took [slow] Joe to be assigned to the case to "make things happen".

I just may need to tune in cause I did not know that Joe had a degree in biology or in medical research or cancer research or clinical research or experience running drug trials or worked in the medical chemical area or made strides in designer drugs. I mean he is just THE BEST EVER! Thank the Good Lord he was put on the case!

OK, that was somewhat fun. The reality of course is much simpler. [slow] Joe is following in the foot steps of President Three-putt and leading from FAR behind. There is no lack of attention, efforts, money, and great minds working on various aspects of cancer research. Much effort is spent on finding better treatments and on actual cures. The only thing Joe adds to this is "hot air".

Me thinks [hopes?] that Hillary! will need to drop out before the election and the Democrats plan to slide [slow and gropy] Joe in on the 11th hour hoping to throw Donald off of his messaging and game and allow the Democrats to continue their destruction of the country. This is just another case of the media helping their political friends and work to keep some Democrat in the news in a positive way. Goodness knows there are no end of Democrats in the news lately for negative reasons.

Katie Couric, traitor to her profession

Updated 2016/06/09 - see bottom of post...

"Katie Couric, traitor to her profession" as a post title might seem a little harsh. You could be right. Her profession is "journalism" and in that regard she is generally on par with the rest of her associates. Like most journalists today, she views her job and mission to "tell a narrative" or to "tell a story". The predecessors of the modern journalist (reporters) generally saw their job and mission to "report the facts". There was bias but good reporters both did their best to not let their bias show and also tried to disclose any conflicts of interest that may have existed.

Those days are no more.

These days you have the likes of George Stephanopoulos appearing on various news programs, presented as an objective reporter of politics.

You have Katie Couric producing anti-2nd amendment propaganda and presenting it as "investigative journalism".

Her latest efforts place her firmly in the "60 Minutes", "Michel Moore", and "Dan Rather" school of journalism in that she will apparently do anything, up to falsely editing her video (i.e. make stuff up) to show us all her "truth". A truth that is [apparently] too important to be held back by mere facts. Does "fake but accurate" ring any bells? A far more coherent dissection of her latest efforts can be reviewed here. Please do.

As others have pointed out, now that she has been caught "red handed" having deceptively edited an interview "for dramatic effect" with the inadvertent side-affect of making those she was interviewing look like idiots (funny how it always seems to cut that way, the interviewer never comes out on the short end with these "mishaps"), she has issues the standard liberal non-apology with no actual effort or intent to correct her errors with the result that her errors will stand and her apology will be quickly forgotten.

I wonder if the folks from Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) can sue for misrepresentation and/or slander? Discovery would be delicious!

Update 2016/06/09: Appears that this is not the only or the first questionable incident in Couric's film endeavors. Apparently she has had these types of "editing mishaps" in other projects of her's.

More of the tolerant left [we keep hearing about], this time going after a Trump supporter

Here is some raw footage of a Trump supporter trying to get to a Trump rally.

This is the left's idea of a peaceful protest against those that have differing opinion. This is how they allow democracy to play out in society. This is what we can expect more and more of as they are rewarded for this type of behavior by not being punished for it. Notice how the police do not help the man until after he makes it all the way through the crowd. After having been pushed, hit, tripped, etc. Instead of pushing back the crowd and helping him, they make him climb over a hedge.

More of the tolerant left we keep hearing so much about.

Do they ever show any of this on the nightly news? I am not a "Trump" man but these sorts of actions could turn me into one...

UPDATE: More can be read/seen here.

ObamaCare update, more stuff you likely haven't heard

Did you know that in January of this year (2016) that Congress sent a bill to the President to end ObamaCare? The President vetoed it, of course BUT did you hear it even happened? Was it reported on the nightly news? Was it reported in the papers? Did any of the morning talk shows discuss it?

Read a recap of the "entire story" here.

This is just another example of people only being aware of what the media decides you should know about as well as how it should be framed when they do decide to tell you about it.

Remember, there was NO such thing as a "white Hispanic" until the Trayvon Martin incident in Florida. The term never existed. Early news reports (trying to be first with a scoop) mistakenly indicated that Zimmerman was white due [mostly] to his last name. Once it became known that he was in fact Hispanic, instead of correcting the record they switched to "white Hispanic". This was to both negate the need for them to release a retraction/correction as well as to protect their "narrative" of "another innocent African-American youth getting gunned down by a white man".

Same here with ObamaCare. It is a disaster. Co-ops are going broke left and right. Premiums are on the rise and the insurance companies are asking for double-digit increases. Program approval ratings have never been good and are not increasing but it is the "signature" legislation of the Obama administration and the [at the time] Democrat Congress. It MUST succeed at any cost and bad news can not be permitted. This includes Congress submitting bills to end the program as well as the President vetoing those bills. The media must maintain the illusion that Republicans have not even tried to keep their promise to end ObamaCare. This is in part to maintain the illusion that all is well and that support for it is growing but also to maintain the illusion that it is too late to do anything about it and no one is even trying, The opposition has given up and accepted this monstrosity. It also helps to depress Republican turn out as some will think why bother if they are just as bad and don't even try anymore to keep their promises. Well they did try. It failed but they did try. Remember that and remember where you didn't hear about it as it should have been big news and it was. It was just the wrong kind of news.

Why the news sucks, example #59683

This is yet another example of why the MSM just plain sucks and fails daily to do their jobs. This example is from the Washington Examiner. It is titled 'RNC mocks Clinton's 1-of-6 wins, 'embarrassing performance' with the first paragraph of:

Republican Party Chairman Reince Priebus mocked Hillary Clinton's "embarrassing performance" in primaries and caucuses this week, chortling at her poor one-of-six wins.

What counts as "mocking" in this day and age? This does:

"Hillary Clinton's repeated stumbles at this stage of the race are another reminder of her deeply flawed candidacy. Winning only one out of six primaries and caucuses this week is an embarrassing performance for the Democrat front-runner," he said in a statement Sunday.

So, if you are a Republican, pointing out what every other Sanders support is pointing out is considered "mocking". What? Is Clinton such a delicate flower that she can not stand to hear the truth? Pointing out a fact also now counts as "chortling"! Oh the humanities! He [apparently] failed to show enough deference to Her Highness, the Lady Clinton! Off with his head!

As is typical for a news story these days, a liberal, leftist, Democrat has had a poor showing so the media must drag a Republican into the story to draw attention away from the Democrat.

What is really embarrassing and mock worthy is the sorry, pitiful state of journalism these days.

P.S. Don't you think she looks tired?

The real story of the housing / economic crisis

Watch this video. It is an older video but it is still relevent as it explains how we had the largest economic crisis in the nation's history since the great depression and who was really behind it. You have NOT seen this explained this clearly on TV. At times, some of the truth slips out but no one in the MSM will put the full picture together for you as the real blame falls on all of the "wrong" people. The media loves to blame this crisis on wall street, on the republicans, on evil capitalists, in fact on everyone but those that actually made this happen. This is a fantastic video.

Now this is how you "jump the shark"!

In response to the San Bernardino shooting / terrorist event, Geraldo Rivera (yes, that Geraldo Rivera) tweeted:

The key now is for us to be as outraged by San Bernadino massacre as we would be if Muslim extremists were doing the killing. This is terror

— Geraldo Rivera (@GeraldoRivera) December 2, 2015

Wow, just wow...

Hillary and Benghazi

So Hillary testified before the Benghazi committee yesterday and here is a "standard" MSM headline on the results:

"Republican lawmakers sharply questioned Hillary Rodham Clinton on Thursday..."
"... seeking to build a case that the former secretary of state had been derelict in her duty to secure the American diplomatic mission in Benghazi...."

Absent from any of the MSM coverage, which (surprise, surprise) nearly unanimously found that Hillary did a great job standing up to those "nasty, evil, Republicans" is any mention of the fact (and that is real fact, not liberal "feels like it should be true" fact) that Hillary sent emails to her daughter and Egypt (we actually have the emails - Hillary failed to get them wiped) stating that the Benghazi attack was committed by terrorists. She later told the American people that it was all because of a video, which she KNEW was a lie. she stood over those coffins and lied to the relatives of those murdered and she lied to America.

If Hillary had an "R" after her name, every single MSM organ would be screaming about this 24/7 up to election night. Instead, we get crickets...

P.S. Don't you think she looks tired?

Awful places to work...

I found this story via Instapundit and all I can say is it constantly astounds me how the NYT can stay in business if this is the quality of their "journalism".

I have since seen some "snippets" on the TV news as well. All of these stories seem to be going on and on about how AWFUL it is to work at Amazon.

What NONE of these stories seems to be discussing is that in America, you are actually free to leave a job if you don't like it. Yes! You can leave! Really! You are NOT physically chained to your desk! If the conditions at the place you currently work are so horrible and awful and degrading, you can actually quit!

The people that CHOOSE to work at Amazon do so for a combination of reasons, such as:

  1. The pay may be REALLY, REALLY good compared to what they could get somewhere else.
  2. The prestige associated with being able to say that yes, you work for Amazon.
  3. The job may be closer to their home than other options.
  4. The benefits may be better than what they could get elsewhere.
  5. The experience they are gaining may be more valuable in the future and better for their career.
  6. Lots more stuff that no one knows except for each individual person working there.
The point is, these people have CHOSEN to work there, They are not KEPT there. You know, free will and all that.

The other thing conspicuously missing from any of this coverage is (and let us say for arguments sake that they are "trapped" in these awful jobs) why? Why are they "stuck" there if it is so bad? Could it be that the economy [for the last 6 years] has been in the crapper? That more people have just dropped out of the work force due to an inability to locate a job than people have found jobs? That is the super big, super secret mystery! Why oh why are people taking jobs and keeping jobs they don't like? Maybe it could possibly be because the Obama economy has done just about anything and everything it can to crush job creation and drive up the cost of each job to the point that far fewer are being made available than could be?

Nah, that can't possibly be it cause if it was, the crack "journalists" in the MSM would be all over it just like they could not get enough of how awful the economy was, awful gas prices were, awful savings interest was, how stagnant wages were, when a Republican was in the White House (even when it wasn't so)...

NBC: Making up the news that is too good to not be true...

"This is at least the fifth time in recent years that NBC or MSNBC has gotten caught cooking the books, John Nolte writes at Big Journalism"

All of this has happened under the watch of Steve Capus (pictured above), who’s not only the president of NBC News, but also the “the arbiter of issues involving ethics, style, standards, safety and other matters that affect the Division’s journalistic bearing.”

This is not the only reason but it is one of the main reasons that I do not watch TV news. National and local news stations are too political and too quick to put their own slant on whatever the current hot story is instead of doing their basic job; presenting the facts. Today the entire news industry (TV, print, and radio) has far too many "journalists" and far too view reporters. Too many journalists got into that field in order to "change the world" or to "make a difference". I just want the facts, the who, what, when, where, and why. I don't want to be "told a story" or be fed and "narrative". Too many of the stories have a slant or a bias and often it is easy to see based on how the story is presented and/or what is left out. What questions are not asked. I can get a far more accurate picture of an event far more quickly using the internet and alternate news sources than by any of the "real" news outlets.

As a related event, let us not forget to mention Brian Williams, who is now in the news himself for "embellishing" (to put it kindly) his own bio by claiming he was involved in situations and exploits that did not happen; for example, a helicopter he was riding in taking a hit from an RPG rocket.

More Proof of How Far the Old Gray Lady Had Fallen

One instance in which the media unfairly caricatured a president was at a grocers’ convention in Florida during the first President Bush’s re-election campaign. I was among the pool reporters watching the president, who was unfailingly gracious in public, praise what his hosts claimed was a dramatic new supermarket scanner. The New York Times, on its front page, ridiculed him, claiming it to be yet another example of how out-of-touch he was with average American voters. In fact, the invention was new; it could instantly read a bar code that had been ripped up into small pieces and scattered over the scanner. The newspaper declined to post a correction, and its account lives on.

The NYT has its narrative and no amount of truth can penetrate that wall. President Bush was smart enough to fly jets. Smart enough to run an oil business. Smart enough to be President twice but to the Times and its readers, he will forever and always be that "moron in the White House".

You Can't Tell the Players without a Score Card

Why would the Washington Post embarrass itself by republishing a thoroughly discredited attempt to link the Koch brothers to the Keystone Pipeline? Because that is a Democratic Party talking point, and the Post is a Democratic Party newspaper. But the truth is a little worse than that.

Who is Post reporter Juliet Eilperin? Among other things, she is married to Andrew Light, who writes on climate policy for the Center for American Progress. The Center for American Progress is an Obama administration front group headed by John Podesta, who is a “special advisor” to the Obama administration. CAP’s web site, Think Progress, has carried out a years-long vendetta against the Koch brothers that has focused largely on the environment. Ms. Eilperin’s conflict in writing about environmental issues has already been a subject of controversy at the Post. The paper’s ombudsman should examine this latest example of Ms. Eilperin throwing facts to the winds in her eagerness to promote her (and her husband’s) far-left agenda.

And there it is...

BridgeGate!

I just saw (yet another) news story on the NJ BridgeGate scandal. Oh the horrors! So, this is the most important story for the Saturday morning, national news to cover? What about Benghazi? We still have not found out who gave the stand-down order, even after all this time. We still don't know where the President was that night. We still don't know [officially] why a video was blamed for the attack even though documents (that were finally) released show that the administration KNEW that it was a terrorist attack and not a "spontaneous demonstration because of an offensive video" as they repeatedly said.

We still don't know a lot of things about this administration and what they are doing with: Obamacare, Fast n Furious, Benghazi, the NSA, the IRS scandal, etc., etc., etc. but all of the major news networks will leave no rock unturned to get to the bottom of a staffer of the NJ Governor (who has already been fired) working to get a little political payback against a local Mayor.

Sad...

Can, you know, can you tell the truth and be fair?

This is an older video but still funny and still on point.

[Wrap up of segment on getting out of jury duty.]
Diane Sawyer: "You know, I wanted to sit on a jury once and I was taken off the jury. And the judge said to me, 'Can, you know, can you tell the truth and be fair?' And I said, 'That's what journalists do.' And everybody in the courtroom laughed. It was the most hurtful moment I think I've ever had.
Short answer: Sometimes the truth hurts.

I find it quite funny that she does not understand why everyone laughed! They really are that clueless...

NBC at it again...

NBC just can't seem to play fair. Is it even remotely possible to call them a news organization at all? Recently they aired their deceptively edited Zimmerman 911 tape to make it look like Zimmerman was a raciest. Well their editors are back! This time they are editing tape from the Sandy Hook hearings to make it look like 2nd amendment supporters are heckling a witness. Follow the link and view NBC's version and then the actual tape.

Unbelievable!

OK, fine, you do not believe in the individual right to bear arms and you would like stronger, stricter gun laws. OK. I get that. I do not believe you are right but I get it. If you feel that your position is so strong and that you have logic on your side, why lie? Why fabricate "proof" that the other side is not legitimate? Why can't you just present the "facts" and let people make up their own minds? Is it because the majority of the country does not have the same options as you do and if you give them the actual facts, you will never get your way? Is it because your position is not legally or morally justifiable and so you have to resort to emotional dirty tricks to try and sway low information voters to your side? You certainly act that way...

Putting the plan into action

I noticed this last night. One of the news stations commented in their story about the economy and about the Republican Congress stalling the President's initiatives. I guess they got the talking points memo...

Those violent conservatives... oh wait I mean liberals

I am sure that if this were a Democrat fund raiser, the article would include the party affiliation of the suspect and if the suspect were a tea party member but since this was a Republican fund raiser, those sorts of questions are never asked or hinted at.

It is also amusing about the number of incidents against conservatives and Republicans that you read about that are not found out to be hoaxes but the mime is that it is conservatives, Republicans and tea party people that are violent. Oh well don't let it be said that the MSM ever let the truth get in the way of a good mime...
