Good deal! I hope it passes. We need more "common sense" gun laws on the books in more states. Any gun law that makes it easier for lawful citizens to obtain guns is the best crime deterrent you can have.
As others have noted, draconian gun laws are not only bad but discriminatory. Wealthy people can afford lawyers and/or body guards as well as the ability to not live in high crime areas. Poor people can not afford any of these things. In some cases a gun is the only form of protection these people have. DC is a prime example of bad gun laws gone crazy. DC is a two-fer. They have some of the toughest gun laws and greatest restrictions as well as about the highest murder rate in the nation. Anyone else see a correlation? Especially when compared to Michigan. It should not take a rocket scientist!
