Here is a bad network show idea, a Courtship of Eddie's Father reboot/relaunch except in this version Eddie's father is gay and as a result every episode is Eddie trying to setup his father with an available guy. Hijinks and hilarity ensue, cue laugh-track.
An alternate (for the more modern age) would have Eddie's father actually be his mother and [of course] she is gay. Same premise as above. Working title "Eddie's mom needs a wife".
