Thank you Governor Rick Scott!
It is a happy day, these days when common sense overcomes and prevails. Such is the case in Florida when Governor Rick Scott signed into law the "Penalties for Violating Firearms Preemption Law" which takes affect October 1st. In part, any public official who passes or enforces gun regulations below the state level faces a $5,000 personal fine and could even be removed from office by the governor for enacting or enforcing local gun laws.
