Nice piece in general and he makes some good points, read the whole thing. He does makes a false assumption though with this statement:
You don't have to like President Bush or support our efforts in Iraq to understand the threat of conspirators plotting to kill your children in the name of jihad.
He assumes everyone or mostly everyone agrees with and believes this. Sadly, this is not the case. There are many, a very many people that do not think me, you and your children are in any danger at all from Islamo-fascism, especially if we just leave them alone. That is a fantasy that we just can not afford to let America indulge in. There are scores of schools in the middle east and across the world that are teaching children that America is the great Satan and that to die while killing Americans is the most glorious thing they can do. That kind of hate can not be answered or changed by just leaving them alone. If we do not try to address this issue over there, we will be addressing it right here at home.
