Space is the place!
This is just too cool! The first private space station is still operational after over 660 days in orbit and over (by now) 10,000 orbits of the Earth. It was launched on July 12, 2006 and has been operational ever since. A private manned space station is nearing a reality and it can't come too soon. I am grateful to the U.S. government for getting us into space in the first place but they just can not do space as quickly and cheaply as private enterprises.
