Apparently PETA is still at it, killing animals that is. Documents obtained from the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services show that PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) killed more than 95 percent of the pets in its care in 2011.

More PETA nuttiness
As one of the poster's said, PETA must be punking us all because there is no way a sane organization would put out this kind of garbage. First "sea kittens" and now the KKK-AKC. That is right, the brain surgeons at PETA are comparing an organization that works for the betterment of dogs to an organization that lynched black people. At least the AKC never killed a bunch of animals and threw them into dumpsters. What a bunch of loons. Really, these people need to be restricted to safety scissors.

PETA Urges Ben & Jerry's To Use Human Milk
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals sent a letter to Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, cofounders of Ben & Jerry's Homemade Inc., urging them to replace cow's milk they use in their ice cream products with human breast milk, according to a statement recently released by a PETA spokeswoman.
I love Ben and Jerry's response: "We applaud PETA's novel approach to bringing attention to an issue, but we believe a mother's milk is best used for her child."
Like most of the "social justice" organizations that were born out of the 60 for the purpose of making a difference, they did but instead of being happy with the improvements that they were able to make in the general lives of animals and the reduction and improvement in care for animals used in medical/product testing, they have lost their way. They are now a caricature of their former selves and have just become more shrill and ridicules in their quest to maintain relevance. In some ways they now do more damage than if they did not exist at all.
